Our salsa story began with a simple yet powerful vision: to create the most authentic and flavorful salsas using the freshest ingredients.

Why Garibaldi? The name holds a direct link between Mexico City and Squamish; Plaza Garibaldi is located in historic downtown Mexico City; The Plaza is known as Mexico City’s home of mariachi music. Interestingly, both the names, Plaza Garibaldi and Mtn Garibaldi, share a familiar connection. Mount Garibaldi earned its name in homage to Giuseppe Garibaldi, an Italian patriot and soldier. Notably, Giuseppe Garibaldi is the grandfather of Peppino Garibaldi, who bestowed the name upon Plaza Garibaldi, thus establishing a meaningful and interconnected legacy.
Our Roots
Our journey began with Roberto, and his passion for cooking and discovering new flavours with the encouragement of his family and friends made this project possible
GARIBALDI MEXICAN SALSAS was born in the heart of Squamish BC., with the intention of sharing traditional Mexican flavors fusing them with local culinary influences.
Using 2 of the most traditional chilis in Mexican cuisine (Jalapeño and Chile de Arbol), we manage to develop 2 flavors that delight the palate of the local market.
